Introducing: Our new colleague Stan
This October, we welcome Stan as a Sales Consultant at QUBE! Let’s take a moment to get to know him better.Hi Stan, welcome! Tell us a bit about yourself...
I’m 27 years old and was born and raised in Voorhout, the Netherlands. From the age of 16 to 26, I played professional football. After graduating from Ajax's youth academy, I lived in Denmark for four years, where I played for Silkeborg IF and FC Helsingør. Besides football, my girlfriend, family, and friends are an important part of my life. I enjoy spending time with them, whether it’s doing activities together or simply having dinner and drinks.
How did you end up in the IT field?
During my football career, I worked with an organization to explore what I wanted to do after my sports career. That process revealed that I was most interested in sales, and I’ve always had a strong passion for IT.
Why did you choose QUBE?
I chose QUBE because I immediately felt a good connection with the people already working here. The role I’m stepping into aligns perfectly with my goals and offers me the opportunity to develop and grow. And, of course, it’s a fantastic company with a rich history of over 30 years.
Your role is Sales Consultant—what exactly will you be doing?
In this role, I’ll be looking for new clients and helping them meet their needs to ensure they’re as satisfied as possible. My goal is to make their work experience as seamless as water flowing from a tap.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? What makes you happy?
Outside of work, I play for VV Katwijk, which takes up a fair amount of my free time. I also love spending time with my family and friends. Going to the gym is something I really enjoy, and I like playing FIFA—now known as FC25—when I get the chance.
